Is the Pope the Antichrist?

I don't think the Pope can be the Antichrist, because the Antichrist will likely be accepted by the Jews as their Messiah. In order to biblically qualify, the Messiah must be of Jewish origin. Because the Pope heads an organization of one billion followers, it is very logical to conclude that the Pontiff will someday fulfill a major the role in the Antichristís false church.

"I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive" (John 5:43)
